The idea I had is a simple one but it comes to me every time. You see, I play in a band that is based a long way from where Liz and I live. I therefore always end up driving farther than the rest of the guys and inevitably end up miles from home. The journey to the gig and the gig itself are fine, excitement takes care of those but once I've packed down my bass and amps and cables and loaded up the car, wherever I am in the country I do the same thing. I take out the sat-nav and press the 'Navigate to' button and the first selection offered is simple, it just says 'Home'.

Every time at that moment I can't help thinking of Liz and our lovely home and I get such a warm feeling every time I press that 'Home' button and know every mile I drive is one mile closer to her.
