no regrets no deferrals there's no second chance just a dance and a twirl at the ending of the world just a boy and a girl and a moment for romance take a chance give it a whirl it's the ending of the world and you always knew the end would be like this you'd stroll up to me and slay me with a kiss nothing lost nothing gained just the love that we made here it comes clutch your pearls it's the ending of the world one last look one last kiss one last breath this is it one last night one last summer night at the ending of the world

you took me out to lover's lane we longed to reach the stars and you told me your plans for everything you were beautifully bizarre that's when i should have walked away but there was a spark charlie you'll come back to me someday that's what you'd say, but we're not the same in the dark sing to me about gravity i was falling and falling hard that thing you call reality you said it was only a little part that's when i should have walked away but there was a spark charlie you'll come back to me someday that's what you say, but we're not the same in the dark charlie you'll come back to me someday

go get your coffee cup i'm going to fill it up it's too late to change your mind the hour is getting late it's time to celebrate we'll stay up all night we'll stay up and never close our eyes we'll stay up honey 'tll we see the sun rise go get your coffee cup i'm going to fill it up we'll stay up all night and when the stars go out we're going to scream and shout it's too late to hit rewind the hour's getting late so lets celebrate we'll stay up all night we'll stay up and never close our eyes we'll stay up honey 'till the stars until the stars fall from the sky the hours getting late so lets celebrate we'll stay up all night we'll stay up all night

about

Captain Charles Fort peered into the dark edges of the Sargasso Sector --the place where all lost things go. In a moment he’d move past its horizon. How appropriate, he thought, he’d arrived at his destination and he’d never felt more lost.

He’d spent most of his life training for a mission into deep space, and was used to solitude. But this was different. His ship dying, transporter malfunctioning, he wouldn’t return. There was no way back, only forward. And so he floated towards Sargasso. Reflexively, he clicked record on his song siphon. There was no reason to think these recorded transmissions would be received. He was too far out this time, very near the edge of the knowable universe. But the song siphon had been his only companion on the long journey to Sargasso, a friendly ear between worlds. From now on, he’d leave it running.

He’d abandoned his stated mission goals. All that propelled him forward now was his instinct to explore. To find the edges of the map and move beyond them. He paused to say goodbye to the love of his life, Ada. Then, at the edge of the world, he entered Sargasso.
