the chlorophyl does as it will and to my delight i marry you in the spring time of our life as the days grow long, our roots grow strong join hands my friend and i'll work with you in the summer time of our life and then it comes to this, for we're deciduous come near my dear i'll care for you in the autumn time of our life and then the bitter cold as we grow old close your eyes sleep tight and i'll lay with you in the winter time

children meet and they lose their feet and they surrender completely in the feelings of butterflies. they see gardens in each other's minds. it's getting late. did you bring a date and would you mind my company on your walk back home. please don't go alone. i would hate to read about you in the paper tomorrow. when this night ends it begins again. it remains suspended in the photographs of dinner plates staring off into outer space. when you've lost yourself there is no one else in the sleepless nightmare of why'd you take your braces off. and why do you feel so awkward. and how could you sit home drunk alone all night. true love ends and begins again and all the stupid feelings are reactions to stimuli like when we looked into each other's eyes

A picture book Weighed on her chest Danced on her eyes What she liked Best was to read Between the lines Cursive words Gently confirm A future of bliss She's disturbed It's never spelled out What that future is And should you say goodbye Then once upon a time Would start our storied lives That I always knew too good to be true Remember when We met and you said What's that in your hair That was all It took to convince Me we were a pair What made you Think the same thing I couldn't guess I'm still surprised Somewhere inside Each time you say yes And should you say goodbye Then once upon a time Would start our storied lives That I always knew too good to be true Now descends The armored night To put us to sleep When I wake Up to your kiss I'll start to dream And should you say goodbye Then once upon a time Would start our storied lives That I always knew too good to be true And should you say goodbye Then once upon a time Would start our storied lives That I always knew too good to be true

The frost begins to sublimate, and your pores open up and separate. It's the same thing as yesterday, but that's OK; Again, you help me find my car. --- If you travel the country, or just stay on the block; If you're practice or theory, if you folk, if you rock, If you sing what you're thinking, or just speak what you see, You'll never be boring when you're talking to me. [because] As each random photon hits your singular eyes, It flashes out of existence - in an instant it dies. And though no one can ever say quite what they've just seen, I swear everything's better how you tell it to me.

cigarettes below a chandelier you wanted to stay but had to leave fireflies throw shadows on my wall not so far from where you been before they flew away watch all the city lights turning into stars watch all the city lights turning into stars on the roof the fire down below how could you give in to leaving that's not the way watch all the city lights turning into stars watch all the city lights turning into stars

The Future 01:31
this year we'll cook for each other and we'll lower the lights of our glowing computers and write our lives like a story and we string our hearts for a beautiful melody and next year we'll be slightly more resolute and the words that we speak will ring slightly more true our earth it turns in a circle and our bodies they drink in this cloudy water the the clouds precess in their orbit and the dress you'll wear for now is a secret and next year we'll be slightly more resolute and the words that we sing will ring slightly more true

A young man was planning On watching a ball game His team did not make it And so he went dancing An old man wears long sleeves Even in summer Because there’s an airplane Tattooed on his forearm I don’t believe in fate Or permanence for its own sake But everyday now proves The perfect fit of me and you A corsage remembered Is pure white and feathers Pressed in a phonebook It’s dirty and parchment A daisy grows freely An uneven number Readily counted Before it’s dismembered I don’t believe in fate Or permanence for its own sake But everyday now proves The perfect fit of me and you Stars cross and align And shine bright and burn out And take this goodnight wish To see you tomorrow I don’t believe in fate Or permanence for its own sake But everyday now proves The perfect fit of me and you

Really Here 03:02
Sink into the bathtub Watch the level rise The water feels so wet to you To it you must feel dry Like desert sand to someone stranded Far out at sea Who's sure you're a mirage because You're just to good to be Really here Really here Really here Really here Driving down the highway Somewhat late at night Break lights turning on in front Swerving to the right It occurs all in a blur And leaves no trace behind Except that we both pinch our skin To settle in our minds We're really here Really here Really here Really here Sounds to me like morning's Decided to arrive It's easier to stretch our limbs Than open up our eyes I know that you have things to do And people to meet But can't you put them off because It's just so nice to be Really here Really here Really here Really here

about

In 2011 I released "Sad Songs For Cell Phones" which included 13 tracks recorded on my iPhone 3GS. Continuing in that vein, in 2013 I released "Ghost Songs For Cell Phones" which included 8 songs and 5 transitions recorded (mostly) on my iPhone 4.

Here is a third and final album of cell phone recordings recorded on an old iPhone 4 with a cracked screen using the memo recorder app at 64Kbps. This time the theme is "Love."
